Alexander Henry – Events
International Quilt Market Houston, October 29-31 2011

This season at Market our booth was a burst of color as we introduced a new collection, BARCELONA, and some exciting, new additions to our FOLKORICO collection.  Published quilt designer and lecturer, Charlotte Angotti, created four beautifully pieced quilted panels representing the four different colors stories available in BARCELONA.  Glittering skeletons, an installation of marionettes, and a donkey named Pablo were just a few of the additional elements that earned Alexander Henry the Best Booth award in the multiple booth category!  Buyers were excited to order our new Virgin of Guadalupe pattern, "La Virgencita," along with coordinating chili peppers and some dramatic Dia de los Muertos patterns.  And speaking of dramatic, we brought along some new (and dark) additions to our very successful "Ghastlies" collection.  In the latest Ghastlie offering, the Ghastlies have invited all of their strange, extended family for "A Ghastlie Family Reunion."  Some of the Ghastlies even made an appearance at our booth on the last day of Market making this seasons Quilt Market a very Ghastlie affair for all!

International Quilt Market, Salt Lake City May 13-15 2011

At Market in Salt Lake City we displayed an exciting group of indigo colored prints culled from every corner of our collection. Inspired by Japanese indigo-dyed cottons and our love of Japanese selvedge denim, we dubbed this group, “Alexander Henry Denim Friendly,” and it created a lot of excitement with customers who are long-time devotees of this classic coloration and with new comers to the allure of indigo blue in all its rich, deep colorations and variations. We also introduced two sneak previews of our Spring collection, “Rivoli” and “Natura,” making the stop at our booth in Salt Lake City a real feast for the eyes!
